Systems Analyst

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly-motivated Systems Analyst who is passionate and has an exceptional understanding of IT infrastructure and systems, as well as end-user support. The main focus of this role will entail analysis and support of systems for all areas of the firm, with an emphasis on optimization and automation. This person will leverage their expertise in the information technology field to implement and maintain IT systems, advance technologies and practices, and provide operational support.

A successful candidate will be able to tackle multiple projects working with diverse cross-functional teams to capture and document business requirements, understand the current state of our systems, help define the technology solution, and partner with other team members as well as outside vendors to implement and support the solution. This role requires phenomenal collaboration with members of various business groups throughout the life cycle of a project. This role will coordinate and work through the technical design and implementation of technology platforms such as SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Hyland OnBase, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Microsoft Hyper-V, Charles River, Advent Portfolio Exchange, Factset, and more.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as project manager responsible for the timely completion of tasks, resolution of issues, and implementation of assigned projects
  • Develop and document end-user requirements for system updates and enhancements
  • Assist and perform system configurations, applications integrations, and routine systems maintenance
  • Serve as primary point of contact for end users and application support
  • Respond and resolve application-related needs and issues after business hours and on weekends as necessary
  • Assist in support, training, implementation, and upgrade of applications to ensure maximum return on investment
  • Capture, record, and maintain systems process and functional documentation
  • Deliver the best tools available through extensive research of modern technology best practices and find innovative ways to streamline and optimize productivity
  • Recommend and implement security processes to protect data and assign proper roles and permissions based on least-privileged access

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of systems analysis or application support experience
  • Demonstrated initiative and problem solving skills
  • Solid grasp of project methodologies and formal documentation processes
  • Great interpersonal skills including negotiation, communication, and influence
  • Can optimally multi-task across a variety of tasks and responsibilities
  • Can optimally take the lead on issues, and gain resolution in a timely manner
  • Ability to facilitate ideas and information sharing among teams
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Maintains composure in tense situations
  • Understanding of Microsoft Azure and virtualized environments
  • Understanding of Windows and iOS operating systems
  • Understanding of networking and firewalls
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune, and PowerShell administration
  • Knowledge of VBA or SQL a plus
