| KIRKLAND APPOINTED PRESIDENT AND CEO OF KENNEDY CAPITAL MANAGEMENT 
St. Louis, August 23, 2006— Kennedy Capital Management, Inc's (KCM) Board of Directors is pleased to announce the unanimous appointment of Randy Kirkland, CFA to the position of President and CEO. Mr. Kirkland will also serve on the Board as a Director. Randy joined KCM as Director of Client Service in October 2005, bringing with him 23 years of investment experience. Prior to joining KCM, Randy spent 13 years with Asset Consulting Group (ACG) in St. Louis, a nationally recognized investment consulting firm advising on assets of over $40 billion. During his tenure at ACG, Randy was a Director and Senior Consultant, serving as the lead investment consultant for several of the firm's key institutional clients, with an emphasis on public funds. He also brings direct investment management experience, having served as Director of Marketing for Mississippi Valley Advisors from 1987 to 1992, and he was a Vice President at Monetary Management Group from 1983 to 1987. Mr. Kirkland holds a BA from the University of North Texas, an MA from the Dallas Theological Seminary, and MBA from St. Louis University. He is a past President and former Board Member of the CFA Society of St. Louis. Randy fills the vacancy left by the sudden death of Paul Miller Jr. last July. Since that time, Dick Sinise, Chief Investment Officer, and Patricia Row, Chief Operating Officer, have jointly managed the firm.
